Do you wear tight cheapest underwear on a regular bases and also have cellulite around your buttocks area? Then there is a chance your underwear is to blame… yes, we said your underwear!

Unfortunately those cute tiny panties hug tightly right underneath the buttocks, choking the circulation causing dimples and restricted blood flow to the area, which is really where the problem lies. The tight side elastic that cuts across your behind leaving bluish-red welts restrict blood flow resulting in cellulite.

But the real problem happens when you’re wearing the same type of underwear when you go to bed. Wearing them during the day when you’re active still allows the blood to circulate somehow; but at night, when you’re at rest, the restricted blood flow sleeps as well, hastening cellulite formation.

The Bottom Line

You can start by wearing alternative underwear or undergarments. Avoid panties with side elastics that suffocate and leave your bum with red marks. Wearing thongs is a good idea because they don’t cover the buttocks. (I know you are thinking, hey… did my boyfriend right this… nope!) Thongs, boy shorts, or lace underwear are actual ideal as they don’t have much elastic that wraps itself around the bottom suffocating the blood flow.

Finally, when you hit the sack, you might trying sleeping in your birthday suit or wear very lose fitting pajama bottoms. Many women actually borrow your husbands, or boy friends boxer shorts. Not only are they comfortable, but they are cute and still leave you covered.

Cellulite has a number of causes but at this one is just a lifestyle problem that can be addressed by making changes in our habits, like the way we dress. It helps to know that women-who have three layers of fat above the knee compared to just one for men-are more prone to cellulite. Women try everything to help with cellulite removal, and sometimes it works well, sometimes not so well, but we can help to prevent it from happening prematurely- but when it does happen, know you are in good company as 9 out 10 women have it; skinny women, large women, and even men.

Also remember that another cause of cellulite comes with age. As we grow older, the production of estrogen decreases paving the way for fat to build up. So, as you age and adjust you may want to retire those tight underwear and opt for something that won’t restrict the blood flow from this cellulite-causing underwear.
